I know you guys hate you ship for obtaining freight. My sole purpose for even being registered on there is for the entertainment value of the forum. But today I received an email from you ship announcing a lot of Ritchie Bros. auction equipment needing to be moved. That ought to start an interesting bidding war. I guess they have conned Ritchie Bros. into thinking they can get this stuff shipped for next to nothing?
Stay tuned for further developments.
How to Find Ritchie Bros. Loads
1. Go to Find Shipments page
2. Scroll to More Filters
3. Click Ritchie Bros. Shipments
Or look for the Ritchie Bros. logo on any listing.
Upon further investigation, this is some BIG STUFF! Yikes, most of that is probably out of our league anyway. It's still going to be interesting to watch what happens. I never knew that stuff was even on there.

Yeah I'd bet it's a in house Broker or just a Broker handling the deal looking for someone to haul it for nothing. Anyone with a brokers license can put a booth up at Ritchie Bros Auction and offer quotes to buyers, I've actually done it when i ran the big trucks. Your right the majority of the stuff is way to heavy for our type of equipment . It's actually a good thing to see there starting to have some trouble moving their stuff. They never would have hooked up with you ship if they were. _________________ Gary @ M&H Logistics |

I'm going to watch the Ritchie Bros. just to see what kind of bids show up.
I have to find some kind of humorous distraction from my daily routine of monitoring the auto transport load boards...some days that is about as much fun as watching paint dry. LIKE TODAY, I sat here all afternoon, trying to find just ONE more car Milwaukee/Chicago to St. Louis and then around 5:30PM to 6:00PM McNutt dumped several in there.
Maybe they like to wait until we are good and hungry so we all end up fighting over the scraps they throw into our cage.
Oh, well...time to kick back and watch some TV. |

I've hauled several containers into the Ritchie Brothers yard up at the north end of Vegas for UTI. I asked them about their outbound freight to all over the country and of course their question was, "what my rates were?" I of course told them it depends on what it is and where its going...needless to say, I've never got a call. _________________ Serving 9 western states. You all ever have problems with some brokers not wanting to use you just cause you are a hotshot. ? Whats it matter if I can get it there safely and undamaged. Sometimes I have to say I have a step deck ? Whats the deal anyways? _________________ TC Transport LLC

There was a container move from the Vegas site to Nogales AZ. The guy wanted to move 2-20 ftrs for $1 a mile...needless to say, I told him "good luck!" On UShyte now theres a guy wanting to move a 53 ft container from Tucson to Pahrump NV for $1 a mile. I told him also good Luck. He didn't understand that I had the truck to do it since I can haul 9'6" tall loads and didn't need an over length permit for the over hang I "wouldn't" have?!?
I guess the train of thought is "If I buy it cheap, I can move it cheap!"
