How long does it takes for my application(s) to be processed?

ONLINE REGISTRATION: - RECOMMENDED
USDOT Number - Motor carriers can file online and receive their USDOT Number instantly. A notification letter will follow in the mail.
Authorized For-Hire - Motor carriers can file for their MC Number (Operating Authority) applications online, and receive their MC Number instantly. However, this does not constitute the right to operate in interstate commerce. It takes approximately 4-6 weeks to obtain full Operating Authority. You will be notified by mail once the Operating Authority has been granted. The amount of time this takes can vary greatly, as part of the process depends on the motor carrier's insurance coverage being properly filed with FMCSA and a properly filed BOC-3 form (Designation of Process Agent).

I'd say get your USDOT number instantly online, and then do the MC#.   It's going to take a while to get your authority anyway.   Gary will have better answers than me.    I haven't even done it yet.  I'm months away from my final decision point.
