They seem to be really struggling right now. They are a sister company to several others, but I know a couple of their ex drivers who said they were lucky to get a single load a week lately. Cardinal Transport is good, and Packard Transport, both out of Illonois, but they require at least 48 foot trailers, 53 better. Good luck

Does anyone know anything about Hot Shot Logistics.
Is this the company with 3 different names out of OK? one of the other names being Roadmasters? If they are I've heard a few people complaining about not making any money and dead heading a lot. If this is the same company thats all I know about them myself. _________________ Gary's Fleet Service
Iím currently working in Iraq running heavy wreckers, been here for 6yr doing a little bit of everything, before that I ran over the road. Iím wanting to come back home in a few months and get into hotshot freight. I donít have a truck or trailer yet Iím still looking into what will be to best route for me. Iíve talked to a few companies figuring that I should start off with a company to help me find freight and learn the ropes since Iíve never been an owner operator. The guys listed above are telling me to get a 30í trailer with two 7000lb axles and get the rig plated for 26,000lb, which I donít see any issue with if thatís the freight there running. The recruiter made everything sound good but I donít want to get caught up into recruiter hype to find out that Iím going to be sitting around not making any money.
Never heard of them. Website was lacking info, here's what I've found.
Based out of Baltimore, OH, MC 725712 Authority granted 10/04/2010. Been in business for about 8 months.
Are they wanting to lease you on, or hire you as a Driver? The reason I ask is because if you buy a 3/4 ton truck and short trailer you could be stuck if it doesn't work out there. In my opinion the truck is to lite duty, SRW is unsafe, and the trailer is to short to keep you profitable. _________________ Gary's Fleet Service
I'm not gonna talk bad about the outfit, probably just someone trying to get their start, we've all been there. Their brand new MC # kinda confirms my suspicions.
I will say what they did have to say on their website worries me. I can just see a few of these guys blowing a drive tire with these SRW 3/4 ton trucks and scattering their loads all over the highway. DOT will be all over every pickup hauling freight when that starts happening. Why not just use a 3500 dually, rated a little higher, 4 wheels on the rear axle instead of two? They could still be under 26,001 lbs, non CDL if thats their niche.
