Meant to post this awhile ago.  Last September I had an inner tire blow apart on the front axle of my tandem dual trailer.  The gator wrapped around my brake hose & bent the skinny piece of metal that goes into the brake caliper.  This is an electric over hydraulic disc setup.  So I pulled the gator off, straighten out the metal fitting, popped on my spare & hammered down once again.  Forgot all about it...

Come December & I get into a hard freeze in Illinois, 15°-20° for a few days straight.  Hit the brakes & nothing happens.  Not cool..  About 10k of steel on the deck at the time.  Pull into Loves on I64 & see the metal fitting must have weakened from getting bent months prior & the cold was just enough to cause it to split & spew out all my brake juice..

Jumped on the computer, searched for LoadMax & PJ dealers.  I check PJ too because they are practically identical to my LoadMax.  Found Country Blacksmith Trailers, in Mt. Vernon, IL(Loadmax & PJ dealer) about 60 miles down I64 east of me & luckily the direction I was headed.  Called them up, they knew exactly what line & fitting I needed, so I limped on down there nice & slow.  (29k gross with no trailer brakes is scary as hell!!)

When they saw I was commercial, they abandoned the other trailer in their service bay, swapped out my brake line, bleed the system & back on route we went.  I was amazed to get service like this, & they have a great parts stock to get almost any hotshot sized trailer back on the road..

Country Blacksmith Trailers,
Mt. Vernon, IL.
