Hot shot car hauler with 1ton dually and a TRIPLE axle GN trailer(electric brakes). Was traveling south bound I15 to Los Angeles, didn't enter the new scales, CHP officer caught up with me a few miles down the road. At that time one of the wheels on the trailer was off due to a bad outer bearing. He wrote me up that i had no brakes on the trailer. Officer didn't even ask for my log book, nor wanted to hear my argument about the reason for me not entering the scales.
I couldn't attend and hired an attorney that had zero success, apparently he didn't know the dot laws. I am p9sting the courts decision, I have till july7th to appeal

That sucks.  When i was running my dually with the stock bed I would go right past the scales and I'd tell myself, hey, it's a pickup & the sign says No Pickups, even though I absolutely know I AM a commercial vehicle and am supposed to stop.  Fortunately I never got stopped for passing the scale IN CALIFORNIA.
As for that new scale there, I cringe every time I roll through that one but it usually flows pretty good with the 3 or so lanes they have.  Good luck man.
FWIW I've had to use My Ticket Rescue two times.  Both times successful.

Audilover, do you have a factory Dually pick up bed? In Truckee, and the Cajon scales they bitched me out for going in there.
